2. Types of Data Processed

Depending on the channel and service, Menurka may process the following categories of data:

Identification and contact data: name and surnames, email, phone, postal address, country, communication language.

Booking and stay/service data: contracted accommodation or vessel, stay dates, number of people, additional services, communications and incidents related to the booking.

Billing and payment data: data necessary to issue invoices and manage collections, advances/deposits, refunds, and bank reconciliations (full card details, if any, are managed through secure external gateways).

Data required by specific regulations: when applicable, identification data of travelers or other data required by applicable regulations (e.g., administrative or tourism regulations), including minors' data if they are travelers and required by law.


3. Purposes of Processing

Menurka will process your personal data for the following purposes:

Management of inquiries and requests: handling information requests, availability, and quotes received via web, email, phone, or messaging apps.

Booking management and contractual relationship: processing bookings, modifications, cancellations, and all operations necessary to provide the accommodation/vessel service or other contracted services.

Service provision and customer service: managing check-in, during the stay, incidents, complaints, and operational communications related to contracted services.

Economic and administrative management: issuing and sending invoices, managing collections, advances/deposits, refunds, reconciliations, accounting, and archiving.

Compliance with legal obligations: meeting tax, accounting, and other applicable legal obligations, including those arising from tourism regulations and requests from competent authorities when applicable.

Operational informative communications: sending communications related to the booking or service (confirmations, reminders, arrival instructions, relevant stay information, incident notices, etc.).

Commercial communications (future): if Menurka conducts commercial communications or newsletters in the future, it will only do so with an appropriate legal basis (mainly consent) and always with the option to unsubscribe at any time.


4. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal bases legitimizing the processing of your personal data are:

Performance of a contract or application of pre-contractual measures: to manage requests, bookings, and provision of contracted services.

Compliance with legal obligations: to meet tax, accounting, and other obligations arising from applicable regulations.

Menurka's legitimate interest: for internal administrative management, operational security, fraud prevention, and service improvement, always balancing your rights and freedoms and providing opposition mechanisms when applicable.

Consent: for those processings not based on the above (e.g., future commercial communications), in which case it will be requested expressly and may be revoked at any time.


5. Retention Periods

Personal data will be retained:

While the contractual relationship is maintained and/or necessary for the indicated purposes.

Subsequently, for the periods required by tax, accounting, administrative regulations, and prescription of potential liabilities.

Data processed in compliance with specific obligations (e.g., those arising from tourism or security regulations, if applicable) will be kept for the strictly necessary time according to such regulations and applicable prescription periods.

Technology and management service providers acting as data processors, for services necessary for booking management, billing, communication, and storage. Examples include:

Booking management and ERP/PMS platforms managed by Roomdoo/Odoo.

Email, connectivity, and hosting services provided by third parties like InfoTelecom Networks.

Email and cloud storage tools like Google Workspace.

IT support and maintenance providers, such as Món Informàtic or other companies that may access Menurka's systems or equipment during support tasks, also acting as data processors under corresponding contracts.

Accounting firms and advisory services, like Boschpons, for proper tax and accounting management when necessary.

Financial entities and payment gateways (e.g., BBVA, CaixaBank, Sabadell, Stripe, Mollie) to manage collections, refunds, and bank reconciliations.

Tourism intermediation platforms (OTAs) like Booking.com, Airbnb, or similar, when the booking, payment, or part of the management is handled through them.

Public administrations, courts, and competent authorities when there is a legal obligation or requirement.

Menurka will never transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to Menurka's services.

Certain technology or service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
